You Got Mail!

I think one of the best parts of the AWHONN Convention is that you get to interact with vendors.  At AWHONN Convention there are a lot of vendors!  They even give you a map of where the vendors will be located in the exhibit hall!  This is where you can experience a great deal of new products and bring information back to your facility of what is new on the market related to the care of women and newborns..... and sometimes, they have vendors that have self care items just for YOU!  (Optimal Healing Environment means you have to take care of yourself too!)

My suggestion to first time attendees is to check that little box that gives your contact information to the vendors!  A few weeks ago, I started to get emails inviting me to meet with vendors.  Now, I do not know how they choose who they are going to invite to things but I have gotten some invitations and some of my friends have not gotten invited.  Not even sure why!  This week, I have started getting postcards from vendors also inviting me to various activities.  Most of these are mix and mingles but they can also be dinners/breakfasts!  If you get invited, you can bring your conference costs down as you will not have to go out for too many meals!  Some of them will do an educational meeting so you can also get MORE contact hours!  

Before you leave home to go to convention, print out a few sheets of labels with your name, title, address and phone number.  These are handy when you are asked to fill out forms at each booth.  Bring your business cards!

So map out your plan for the exhibit hall!  Don't miss it!  It is one of the highlights and very fun!!  There is also a chance to win prizes.  #AWHONN2016
